Alleged images of Nokia Lumia 530 surface

10 July, 2014

The upcoming successor of the Lumia 520/525, one of the most popular Windows Phone smartphones ever, has made an appearance on Chinese social media.

The images reveal that the device will make use of virtual on-screen keys instead of physical navigation buttons and there is no front-facing camera either.

If the rumors are to be trusted, the Lumia 530 will sport a 4.3” display, which is a slight bump from the 4” screen on the Lumia 520. What really differentiates the Lumia 530 from its predecessor will be its processor, as the new model is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset along with 512MB of RAM. The smartphone is likely to run on Windows Phone 8.1 OS.

Unfortunately, there is no word on when the upcoming budget smartphone would go official, but we have been hearing that the SIM-free unit will carry a price tag of $179.
