A duo of unannounced Xiaomi smartphones leak out

03 July, 2015

Alleged photos showcasing a duo of unannounced Xiaomi smartphones made the rounds online. There is no word on the devices’ names, though one could be the successor of Xiaomi Mi 4, while the other might be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2.

The purported Xiaomi Mi 5 features a rather interesting dual-camera setup on its back with dual-LED flash. Overall, the device’s design language appears to follow closely that of the model it is rumored to replace.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 image on the other hand, reveals a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device, right under its camera and LED flash. The photo falls in line with a past leak that revealed the same setup.

Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to launch in November with loaded specs that include Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and 5.3” QHD display. The Redmi Note 2 on the other hand, is tipped to pack a Snapdragon 410 chipset, 5.5” 720p display, and 13MP camera.
