Hey people! This device is built for Iphail. It's even more expensive than the N97, and we all know which is better quality wise!!! Insane fanboyism is the only reason to buy this phone.

Thanks to these wonderful reviews, i will go ahead and buy the Palm Pre today, matter of fact im leaving rite now to do some multi-tasking on the Palm Pre. Apple lovers, get over it! theres a new lover in town, Palm Pre!

wow iphone 3gs is rly cheap in switzerland. i cant believe i found something cheap in switzerland its a miracle
1 U.S. dollar = 1.0823chf
40chf/month and 179chf for 2yr contract or 329chf for 1yr contract
and if u get unlimited plan = 99chf/month plan u just pay 29chf for iphone 3gs

this was gna b the decider for me between the new iphone and the palm pre. now without a doubt i will get palm pre. they only put a compass in the phone. wtf do i need that 4? i can read maps. a slightly faster processor and slighlty longer battery life, yet they exclude the ability to multitask. and they hv convinced the remaining iphone fans that multitasking is bad, it drains battery life. "shockingly" they hv not thought of just not multitasking if they dont wna drain battery life. the least apple cud hv done was use an AMOLED display - this wud also help the battery life. but no. they will continue to introduce about 2 features at a time so every1 who owns 1 feels they need to get the next 1.
the days of apple being creative and coming up with interesting ideas r over.

All fine and dandy but has the call drop outs been improved. I know they brought the 2.1 update out but the fixed some but not all of those problems.
These are amazing phones for everything but..well...erm...phone calls!
At least in the UK on o2 anyhow.

but it looks gud and 4 apple fanboys thats all the matters to them. also dont forget dropped calls. v practical in an emergency.
maybe they cud use it as a distraction in an emergency, or maybe they wud learn their lesson the hard way.

In UK the 3G S is more expensive than N97.
3GS costs £538.30 for 32 GB on o2.
N97 Costs £499.99 (32 GB unlocked!!!)
On a contract 3G S is more expensive too.
On an 18 month contract 3GS costs £175.19 on £44.05/month o2 tariff (trustedreviews.com News)
The N97 (18 month)is FREE on £45/month contract (Vodafone.co.uk)
Now many ppl may not like Vodafone but im sure N97 will cost less with other carriers considering the big price differnce between the two

The biggest drawback on on iphone is that when it hangs (some instruments very often) one has to wait till the battery drains and the recharge to make a call !!! what the F!!! In an emergency, if u r using an iphone and the phone hangs u r as good as a sitting duck !!

there r phones with much better cameras if u wna take pictures and a lot better video recording capabilities.
memory?
nope n97 has 32gb and is expandable up to 64gb. some manufacturers might add dual memory card expansion soon
audio?
nope just like ipods, there r phones with better audio quality. some hv surround sound. and natural sound engine like omnia hd
video?
nope. there r other phones with more dpi and some with larger screens. quality on these r amazing.
smartphone?
it cant even multitask - still!
touchscreen capabilities?
fading away. others r starting to use or hv started using capacitive. palm pre and a few lg phones also support multitouch. and neonode phones were even more responsive thnx to using optical touchscreen in 2002 - but the company is now bankrupt
OS & UI?
even the OS is not as good as the competition now. palm pre has a better OS - congratz to them 4 working since 2005 on it, and it shows. other companies r quickly catching up.
Apps?
yes but just buy ipod touch - its a lot cheaper and u can buy a better phone. better yet, after 2yrs, u wud still hv paid less than iphone 3gs.
style?
yes but just look at other phones as well like lg dg900 (crystal) with a transparent keypad. it looks better than this. it also packs more features in a smaller phone. however, owning an iphone has become a fashion statement. just the apple logo is the only thing the competition doesnt hv
