this is only an example of what people should be aware of happening outside in the current market

http://www.gsmarena.com/idc_q3...ews-3350.php

just an example, this could be Nokia, or Soney, just wanted to highlight there is a reason people have shifted attention to some other area than apple

> In reply to [deleted post]There is NEVER one single best phone, because that would mean that humans are all the same. I am not trying to convince you that the iPhone is the best phone. However I am a fan, and I can point out good points. This is different from being a fanboy, who is intent on pointing out the flaws. I have no time to do that.

The best phone is the phone that serves you best. This may be the iPhone sometimes, other times it may be a Nokia Lumia 800, a Razr, or even a feature phone.

For all the flexibility that Android gives, there are certain advantages iPhone enjoys.

Gaming is still much in Apple's favour, with major studios, and indie developers developing way more titles for iPhone, due to its integrated structure.

Musicians may prefer to have an iPhone, as they can actually carry a music studio in their pocket, with Garageband, or jam by plugging in their electric guitar using iRig and Amplitube. For all of Androids power, there are no phones that do this as well as iPhone yet.

The blind, and handicapped may find that the iPhone is the best for them, as their accessibility features are system wide, due to Apple's 'closed wall' approach, and far messier on Android's 'open-system' approach, which means less uniformity.

http://behindthecurtain.us/201...-the-iphone/

is iPhone the best? Who knows, I don't know, but certainly not for everyone. Can it be the best for some people? Certainly, and the above are some of the ways.

The same goes for Android, WP7 etc. Why? Humans are different that's why. I am not going to prevent you from buying Android, and I can easily list out weaknesses now if I wanted to, but what would that achieve? Isn't it better you get the best phone for you, based on what you want, rather than what I want?

Free choice bro. Choose what you want, no one is forcing you to get an iPhone, now stop trying to control others, and let people choose whatever the hell they want.

Apple flooded with pre-orders of iPhone in Korea (home of Samsung)

http://english.chosun.com/site...0701174.html

Even Koreans know a good phone when they see one. Samsung desperately trying to get a ban without any solid reason.

iPhone 4S sales remain strong (like hot cakes)

http://gigaom.com/apple/iphone...-and-abroad/

"Based on his checks, Whitmore found his forecast of 28 million iPhones sold during the holidays to be “increasingly conservative,” and that in fact, the ceiling for this quarter will be set entirely by the ability of Apple’s production partners to keep up with demand."

"The geekiest one percent, who almost uniformly champion hackable products like Android and hate Apple’s more polished, curated approach, are now preaching to each other in an echo chamber where no one from the mainstream 99% of tech users can hear them."

Lol!

> In reply to i-what? @ 2011-11-07 15:05 from 95Hj - click to readBarring a body change, it is a huge jump, in fact even better than the Nexus which was a downgrade from SGS2.

It went from single core to dual core and smokes other smartphones in the benchmarks, making it one of the fastest smartphones on earth.

It has a camera with improved optics, producing some of the best photos in a smartphone, according to Consumer Reports and plenty of other sites.

Universally good reviews, including here on GSMArena.

iOS 5 has 250+ new features, including Siri, born of the US largest Military Artificial Intelligence project.

Also, since Apple does not change too frequently, this is obviously targeted to iPhone 3GS users, as well as new users. It is perfectly ok for iPhone 4 users to wait for the iPhone 5.

This way, dont you think Apple users get more bang for their buck? And yet you guys complain about price all the time lol.

please someone here, can you please tell me , apple spend 16months and after that time they come up with this phone which only has a slightly faster processor, 8mp camrea, and siri which doesn't like the british accent!!!

sorry not forgeting it looks excatly the same as i4!!

if this is not a joke what is it?

no innovation, no breaking the boundry of technology, nothing new, nothing exciting, nothing to compete with heavy wieght out there!!! so dull and uninteresting !!

apple time is finished sadly!!!

its a joke that if you want to download your mp3 to your device you got to go through iphone software!!!!
what is the point, no flexibility.

apple used to be a interesting product, but not anymore, and sooner you guys notice that its better!!

good luck with rebranded i4, which is excatly the same but only called 4s!!!

its truly a joke!!

Beatweek: iPhone 4S signals ends of Android growth; carriers restore the balance

> In reply to Jiwan @ 2011-11-07 08:59 from uHWN - click to readWell said. I prefer to concentrate on the positives, and even as a major iPhone fan, I know that it will not be perfect for everyone. When someone asks me, "which phone should I buy?" I always ask them first, what they want to do with it, as there are different phones to suit different people.

What I don't understand are haters, taking the effort, to just bash a product which they don't own in the first place, to fight some sort of 'ideological war'? Pathetic no?

Enjoy tech, and use what serves you best.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2011-11-07 09:26 from JJsi - click to readYup, he was saying that you look like an idiot, using Siri. My point was that, you use Siri just like using any other voice control app, and that Siri can be used with the phone at the ear, like a normal phone conversation, especially with the "Raise to speak" feature, which activates Siri using the gyroscope and proximity sensors.

Amazing genius by Apple designers.
