Apple iPhone 4s
> In reply to Anonymous @ 2011-10-28 17:31 from nU1H - click to readHi, I own both BB9900 and iphone 4 (Not 4s) but it really depends on what you use your phone for. I'm a business person so BB is great and does all things I need but Apps aren't great therefore I use the iphone. Being honest the battery on BB9900 is rather poor compared to my previous BB9700. Personally if I were you I'd get the iphone 4s now over the BB as I wouldn't wait till the 5 comes out as you never know when that could be! How long is a piece of string! They are both great handsets in their own right and neither are better than one another as I said it all depends on what you use it for.

Wow! Check out the Kogeto Dot attachment for iPhone. Allows 360 video to be shot simultaneously, without stitching.

> In reply to sunny @ 2011-10-27 22:01 from fCPn - click to readyou should note that Android runs on Java base, and Java runs on a virtual machine, wich means the real system on your phone has to create a full sub-system so the OS works with it.. that sucks most of the phone's resources
on the other hand, the iphone runs on objective-C which is basically C++ so to speech and that runs directly on the hardware it has, no sub-system required
I have both an android phone and an iphone (a 3GS) and that iphone is way faster than the android, although it's maybe 2 years older on the market

People read reviews, and so far reviews have been overwhelmingly positive including here on GSMArena. 4 million sold on first weekend, and 22 countries launched today, be prepared for even more records breaking soon.
WP7 also coming up, and interesting that after given the chance to study both Android and iOS, they chose the more integrated and 'closed' approach like iOS. User experience FTW, and Apple knew this from long ago.

Also, I forgot to mention, the Voting Results for Design, Features and Performance are less than unacceptable for the best phone in the world! LOL :)

I am torn in 2 minds whether to get the 4S or just get new bb bold and wait for the Iphone 5....
1. Could get 4S on 18 month contract and upgrade after 15 to 5
2. Could get BB and go for 12 month contract and upgrade to 5 when it is out.
I have never owned Iphone so anyone with some valid opinions would be much appreciated to help me make my decision.
P.S Iphone is currently out of stock and i can get BB now if i wanted

However, things are much rosier if you focus on the Mobile phone division only. Samsung mobile phones sales rose "low 20%" on QoQ and "high 20%" YoY. The company become the world's leading smartphone manufacturer selling 27.8 million in the past three months, overtaking Apple, which only managed 17.1 million.

> In reply to [deleted post]Nothing in this world is guaranteed my friend. The iPhone is certainly not perfect. Neither is any phone. The best phone is the one that serves you best.
The blind or disabled would probably find Siri to make the iPhone best for them, apart from iPhone's other great accessibility integration. Those who prefer more freedom to tweak and install stuff, would prefer Android over iOS. Those who simply are brand loyal, may choose to stick to Nokia, or Sony Ericsson, due to nostalgia. Some are even nationalistic, and may buy Samsung or LG out of national pride.
One thing is for sure tho, spending time online, on a phone page you don't like, listing out weaknesses, is lame. How difficult do you think it would be for me to list out weaknesses for SGS2 for example (fragmentation, too big etc etc), and then keep repeating them? Not difficult at all, but I would rather focus on the positive.

Why Google and Microsoft need to fear Siri (and Android fanboys):

Apple Asia Pacific sales up by 174%:

> In reply to [deleted post]I certainly am waiting for the iPhone 5, just that in the meantime, I am using the iPhone 4S, one of the fastest smartphones in the world, smoking even the SGS2.

> In reply to [deleted post]Android is already being killed from another side, WP7. Mango has been released and available for 100% of eligible WP7 phones, following the iOS model.
Microsoft had time to study both models, iOS and Android, and despite all the trolling, has followed a lot of Apple's philosophy in the OS game, with a more integrated approach, better OS updates, and certainly avoidance of fragmentation.
The open OS approach is wonderful on paper, but brings with it a host of problems, which Microsoft has seen being suffered by the Android manufacturers.
In the end, a product should be reliable, secure, and just work.
