I had most of the iphone models for the past years, but this year I thought I should try something other than the iPhone and bought myself a Samsung Galaxy SII. I tried it for 4 weeks, but what seemed to be better in lot’s of reviews the actual hands on was another story. The Camera when in live mode, seems much nicer than the iPhone, but once the picture was taken, other than the delay which got on my nervous, the quality wasn’t actually what you see in live mode. Most of the apps on the Android even the ones that I did purchase (from the same vendor as of the iphone), the quality and recourses of the app were incredibly inferior. Overall the Samsung is good device, but ergonomics, apps, speed (not network), scrolling fluidity, camera, screen, emails and web browsing experience cannot be compared to the iphone. Being this the case, I had to go back to apple and bought a iPhone 4S. This is just my personal hands on experience.

Hi All ... Have a question for you'l im currently in the US for a couple of months ,, but planning buy the " Unlocked i phone 4s online( since they dont sell the unlocked version @ apple stores) from apple so i can use it back @ home in Sri lanka .. Will it be difficult for me to get the phone set up once I go back to SL .. or is it no big deal ..

To be clear, I believe everyone can choose WHATEVER phone they like, including myself and nobody, including Mr GS2 Fan 95Hj should block me. I have the right to choose what is best for me, and others have the right to choose what's best for them.
Mr GS2 Fan 95Hj, you have avoided this question no matter how many times I ask you, what is your stance? My bet is you will run back to one of your older answers, and recycle it to avoid the issue lol. Run all you want, but others read this section too, so you can't hide.

2. SAMOLED inefficiency has been outed by GSMArena's endurance rating, iPhone 4S with smaller battery lasts longer, even when compared to gigantic battery of Galaxy Note.
3. 2 year design means phones are all more 'current', and have a more stable timeline. One would prefer a car that was re-designed every 5 years for example, rather than 2.
4. iPhone can use any mp3, or videos from other sources, not just iTunes, either you are spreading FUD or are illiterate. On top of that, iTunes has more free apps than Android market.
5. Speaktoit is DEFINITELY inferior to Siri lol. More BS.
6. iPhone 4S camera is the best camera on the market. Not just opinion, supported by GSMArena, National Georgraphic, Annie Leibovitz famed photographer, and countless others. How about SGS2? SGS what??? is the answer.
It is sad to see that the propaganda spread by both Google and Samsung now taking its toll and Fandroids becoming the most brainwashed zombies on the internet.
It is to be expected tho, since Android has targeted the Justin Bieber crowd, including Callum here, why else would Android ads feature explosions, motorcycles, even taunting of iPhone users lol. You should stick to watching your Twilight videos rather than wasting time here.

Intriguing that Samsung S2 has a more powerful mother board with a dual core 1.2 with 1GB RAM, not to mention the already "front of the line" Super AMOLED screen. The camera is second best to the 4S, but really, if that is all Apple can come up with in 18 months, and increase graphics (yeh because every user wants the capability to play games in "super amazing" graphics) then it is not "great". No design change or anything, battery had to fix a bug within the first month because of the complaints. Errrr, Siri?!? Does not even work properly in the UK as it dont recognize English accents. Great. Errrrrr apps only on iOs is poor. iTune downloads are costly. Okay, not enough? Android gives free mp3 downloads, gives you thousands of free apps, the OS gives a more complete feel, the SGS2 is thinner, the screen is bigger and its better, the processer is faster, they have Speaktoit App which is just as good as siri, check the reviews. Now the big thing is that i AM a previus owner of the 4, and i HAVE had the 4S (brothers) to play with to see which way i go. Errrrr i chose the SGS2 and Android. Not a day goes by that i have not regretted it. Until the iPhone 5, peace.

Other Android manufacturers might be annoyed with Samsung for acknowledging what we've all known for a while now :)

Only thing is apps.. there are still apps only available to iPhones which is why i'm not sure if i will get it. The samsungs and motorola's have out done them this time round.

The iPhone 4S is really amazing, so much moving forward in so many areas, to the head of the field.
Camera improved straight to GSMArena winner of camera shootout. Legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz recommending it hands down, as "the camera of our time".
Dual core A5 with blazing graphics, putting the rest to shame. Infinity Blade coming in about one week's time.
Improved battery life, despite incredible performance, putting at the top of GSMArena's current Endurance Rating, even beating out Galaxy Note with its ridonculous battery size.
What an incredible smartphone. The iPhone 5 will pull Apple even further ahead when the others had just thought they were beginning to catch up.

Everybody says sg2 and sg note are far better than iphone 4s but I when i went to market just saw people queueing for iphone and even not sure after queueing up long time they can buy are they all are stupid? Why they are not buying the better one ?

Honestly,I prefer android over Ios anyday.But I can't argue with the fact that IOS is well thought.Everything is almost One touch away,literally.
Proof of their Polished-ness is that an android phone beholding the same specs as 3gs or even a 3g,doesn't run as smoothly as in the iphones.
A funny fact i realized the other day was,IOS doesn't have a homescreen.Just directly goes to the menu,and that is just good thinking! I thought,it's true,we never really NEED a homescreen other than widgets.But when everything's already so easily accessible,widgets arn't really needed,just a luxury we adapt to since we've just reached a point in our lives that we think one touch on the screen can be classified as Tedious.When really,It really isn't,especially on the IOS.
