start saying things like lagging etc. my friends new
iPhone 5s lags. The Truth is my midrange Xperia zr
is more superior to the 5s. waterproof 2gb ram
just to mention a few.

Apple 5s and 5c both has a dual core processor just like a iphone 5 . Even ram memory is same 1GB , NO NFC , NO JAVA SUPPORT, NO better camra , NO FLASH PLAYER SUPPORT , SO it's no point to buy iphone 5s or 5c . Not good phone at all.
I WOULD suggest SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 3 . this samsung phone does have everything . My vote for samsung note 3 . ( its worth to spend money for samsung phones).

5C and 5S available in grey market in India....plastic phone 5c is Rs. 6000 more expensive than Iphone 5!!!!! rubbish...

Main features of iPhone 5c:
•Heavily iTunes dependent for uploading files and multimedia
•Segregated file system means you often have to duplicate files to access them through various applications
•No widgets
•Air Drop works only between selected iOS 7 or later running devices
•No lockscreen shortcuts (besides those in Control Center)
•Very basic camera UI with limited features and settings
•Limited video codec support for the built-in player
•No Smart dialing in the dialpad
•iTunes radio only works in the US at launch
Conclusion: not user friendly!

Anonymous, 24 Sep 2013Exactly!! and the price of Iphone 5c should have been th... moreApple aren't stupid because they know a HUGE amount of people will be bullied and laughed at for buying the 5C because kids are cruel and will make fun of people who can't afford the 5S and only get the 5C, So instead of keep selling the iPhone 5 like they always do with the phone that gets replaced they make it look cheap so more people will buy the 5S instead of before where they bought the 4S when iPhone 5 was out and just say something like their contact isn't up yet.

The build quality of the two new Apple iPhones is lower than previous models, according to insurance company SquareTrade.
SquareTrade offers a gadget protection plan so it is jolly interested to know which phones it will have to pay out more to replace. Americans have spent over $6 billion on broken iPhones.
According to Phys.org, while smartphones have tended to improve in durability, the iPhone 5C and 5S are a step backwards and both received worse grades than the iPhone 5.
SquareTrade has put top-selling smartphones through a series of tests like dropping from five feet and submerging in water for 10 seconds.
Eight different factors are used to calculate the phone's durability like materials used for the front and back, weight and size.
The phones are scored from one to ten, with a higher score meaning the phone is more likely to break.
Last year, the iPhone 5 had a score of five, but this year, the iPhone 5S received a score of 5.5 and the iPhone 5C received a score of 6.
The worst phone for durability was the Samsung Galaxy S4, which got a score of 7, while the best scoring phone was the Google Moto X with a score of 4.5.
Ty Shay, chief marketing officer at SquareTrade had expected that at least one of the new iPhone models would up its game, but it was the Moto X that proved most forgiving of accidents.
It had been expected that the 5C would be less durable than the 5S because of its plastic case, but if you want an iPhone to last it is probably better that you hang onto the iPhone 5.

While a seemingly valid concern, even I was similarly concerned, that feeling totally melts away once you've held the 5c. It is so beautifully made, and in my opinion, I can be more relaxed with it as it feels super strong and sturdy, I almost wished iPhone 5s also came in a similar build.
On top of that, instead of just selling the iPhone 5, they made some minor improvements to the iPhone 5c such as increased LTE support and better front camera for example. The Home button is also slightly of better build.

and the price of Iphone 5c should have been the price of Iphone 5 if Apple didn't replace it with a plastic phone. We could have buy an Iphone's premium feel for a lower price instead of getting stuck in buying Iphone 5s if we want the same classy feel an Iphone can offer.
on the bright side, Apple is planning to use all leftover spare parts of their not so successful Iphone 5 so we might see a different Iphone 6 next year. Probably a bigger screen + some "inovations"

iPhone 5 is so much better than 5c. 5c is just a painted version of 5 nothing different. They stopped selling iPhone 5 now. Replaced it with 5c
