I am planning to buy an Iphone 5s by the end of the week but I have some doubts to be clarified:
* Battery life in iphone 5s ?
* If I upgrade to IOS 8, will it consume battery alot ?

I just love my iphone 5s. I can do a lot in this phone with no lag issue. Promise :) and my battery last all day with mobile data ON. Which i never experience with all my android Flagship phones before. If you're not in to iphone 5s. I guess you should not be here in the first place :)

This is amazing phone as all Iphones are. I have no need to switch to Iphone 6.

Mines came with iOS 7.0.1 when I bought it recently, and I'm happy as I've heard iOS 8.0-8.1.2 drains battery life... So no upgrading to iOS 8 for me.

But it's a regret to ... moreYou can't go back to ios 7.1.1. cause they had stopped giving cerificates or whatever they call it used to even you can't downgrade to ios 8.0.2 now.Bad for you as this is the most ridiculous step taken by apple to force you in their enviornment.Previously was iphone user but these retrictions made me switch back again to android.

I prefer the iOS 7 that the iOS 8. iOS 8 is laggy and sometimes the touchwhiz has become unresponsive! Its rubbish!

Clyde, 22 Dec 2014Ihave done that as well and even the lags were removed. At first I was going mad seeing how fast the battery was depleting after updating to iOS 8.1.2 and then surf the web and found several ways to solve it I did a simple soft reset and hard reset and it didn't work for me so move on to next step reset all setting and voila it's working fine and lag free now,to my experience I think battery has improved by a marginal but all may not fine it has improved for heavy users I think..I wish they add an option to switch to 2G/3G and LTE in the next update cause I don't have that option in my iPhone using IND Airtel Network..

My story with this device is very very long and I conclude the following: this is a very bad device, price wise, performance wise, features wise. It's just its look that is fine, yet any average android device with far less price will be much better and this is based on personal experience with iphone 5S, Samsung Tab S and Huawei Ascend Y511 devices. I am struggling with this device since I bought it one year ago. I just keep it till now due to the money that I spent on it and when I bought it for this price and brand name, I expected quality and ease, yet it ended up I was totally wrong. I don't recommend for anyone to go through this endless hassle.
