Apple iPhone 6 compared to iPhone 5 in live photos

25 August, 2014

The Apple iPhone 6 has undoubtedly had its fair share of leaks. So much so that it's virtually guaranteed that a larger-screen smartphone is finally on its way from Apple. Now we have a better idea of just how that will stack up to the 4-inch iPhone 5 thanks to a handful of live shots out of China.

The rounded sides and thinner design are among the other changes noticed, but the larger screen diagonal will firmly move into a more modern era of smartphones.

One rather odd design choice is the protruding camera lens, which moves away from the previous design that was flusher with the chassis. Hopefully Apple will change this in the final design, as it would undoubtedly make the camera lens easier to scratch.

Rumored production issues aside, the iPhone 6 is slated to get announced next month, in line with Apple device announcements in September. There's also word of an even larger 5.5-inch model slated for a December release.

Thanks, Kshitiz, for the tip!

The series of leaks in very uncharacteristic of Apple. For a company known for being secretive, its very uncharacteristic of them to be allowing these many leaks.
