AT&T puts Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Tab S 8.4 on pre-order

17 September, 2014

AT&T has announced that starting today it is accepting pre-orders for the LTE-enabled versions of the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Tab S 8.4. The tablets will ship next Tuesday, while regular retail sales will only begin on Friday.

Both tablets are available on and off contract and Charcoal Grey seems to be the only color option. The big Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 LTE costs $530 on a two-year contract or $31.50 a month for 20 months with the early upgrade Next program. It's just $630 if you get it off contract but you'll have to provide your own data SIM (or just not use one).

The smaller Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE is $430 on a regular two-year deal, 20 monthly payments of $26.50 on Next or $530 with no commitment.

If you get a Galaxy Tab S 10.5 or Tab S 8.4 from AT&T you can also snag a matching Galaxy Tab S keyboard for 50% off. The 10.5" keyboard goes for the rather hefty $130 so the discount is quite welcome.

The two Galaxy Tab S devices are the thinnest tablets offered by AT&T – not the thinnest ever but at 6.6mm they are pretty sleek indeed. The key draw, however, is the expansive Super AMOLED screen with 2,560 x 1,600 pixel resolution.

Check out our hands on with both tablets for more info. If you decide to take the plunge you can grab the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 here and the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 here.
