Galaxy Nexus now available in the US on Verizon 4G LTE

16 December, 2011

After a long time of waiting the Galaxy Nexus has finally started selling in the US. The phone is only available on Verizon at the moment and will use their 4G LTE network.

The phone is being sold at $299.99 on a two-year contract, same as the 32GB iPhone 4S, Motorola DROID RAZR or the HTC Rezound and a bit more than the $249 LG Nitro HD on AT&T. If you want to get it without a contract, you can get it for $649 from Verizon and for an absurd $799 from Best Buy.

Amazon has a lot better deal for you though. For new Verizon customers, AmazonWireless is selling the Galaxy Nexus for just $149.99 and for existing customers it is $249.99. So if you're buying online, AmazonWireless seems like the best place to do so at the moment.

If, for some reason, you're not much into online shopping, you can also hop down to your nearest Verizon Wireless, Best Buy, Costco or Radio Shack store to pick up the phone. We saw some pictures of lines forming outside stores for the Galaxy Nexus so if you want one you better hurry.

Hands off to Google when it comes to getting there Nexus line out they always screw it up. You would think that they would want people to buy the phone that is showing an all new OS but for some reason they don't. Why is that?
