Gold-plated iPhone 6 by Alexander Amosu now available

09 September, 2014

Apple will unveil the iPhone 6 in a few hours but if you have £2,400 to spend you can order one right now – complete with 24ct Yellow and Rose gold plating by Alexander Amosu. The listing says the iPhone 6 will be out in 2 days and if you order by Friday you'll get a £150 Amosu leather case for free.

"We use the same gold techniques used to gold plate Rolex watches," claims the Amosu site. Surprisingly this one has no diamonds or Swarovski crystals, a favorite for Amosu designs, like the iPhone 4 Diamond Spider or iPhone 4 for St. Valentine’s Day.

The Amosu site doesn't list any specs for the new iPhone (specs don't matter, only carats do over there) but you can read our preview article on what to expect.

Plated means coated only by 24c. In china 24c of gold is about $55 per gram. How they priced of £2,400 if it is only coated. May if pure gold 24c and handmade. The skill of hand is the one paying of.
