Google's Inbox app now suggests you create a reminder instead of emailing yourself

Himanshu, 14 July, 2015

The Inbox app by Google, which was launched back in October last year, now offers you an option to create a reminder whenever you try sending an email to yourself.

As you can see in the screen-shot above, the reminder option pops up as soon as the app detects your own email address in the 'To' field. Should you choose the option, whatever text is there in the email's subject and body gets transferred to the reminder.

This comes over a month after Google opened the app to everyone and updated it with various new features, including Trip Bundles and Undo Send.

Nice features. But still: an email app without support for third party providers is so outdated and unusable. Ridiculous.
