HTC M8 and HTC D310w certified, announcement imminent

22 January, 2014

The yet-to-be announced HTC M8, which is rumored as the successor of the company's flagship, the HTC One has shown up on the POSTEL (the Indonesian equivalent of the FCC) along with another device with model number D310w.

HTC D310w is showing up for the first time and the device could well belong to the Desire series of mid-range affordable smartphones.

Meanwhile, the recently leaked user agent profile from the HTC website confirmed that the screen resolution of the HTC M8 will be 1920 x 1080 pixels, which is same as on the HTC One. Apart from that, the upcoming smartphone is rumored to sport a 4.9" or 5", a Snapdragon 800 chipset and an Ultrapixel camera.

The POSTEL listing also suggests that the HTC M8 is drawing closer to its release. The announcement of HTC's new flagship smartphone at MWC 2014 seems very likely, but there is no official word just yet.
