ultra pixel is not a new tech.. its used in the Nokia pure.. 41mp canera ...but it is more cmftbl in low mp camera...like HTC one 4mp

ULTRA PIXES IS NOT INCREACE PIXELS...IT INCREACE 300% MORE LIGHTS PER PIXELS...

Anonymous, 02 Mar 2013Maybe you are studying for high degree, but about phone cam... moreWhether you are talking phone camera or professional camera the rules of optics, sensors and light propagation still apply. I have not doubt the HTC One is a good camera but for specific conditions, and likewise for higher megapixel cameras.
Images can be enhanced using algorithms, however this has its limitations.

My main point is choose the subject then choose the camera, golden rule. Rather like choose the tariff you need then choose the phones that can sit on it (that's if you want to use a phone analogy)

All phone cameras will have their limitations, it's just that certain manufacturers choose to make then in different ways to give and edge in certain lighting conditions

its nothing wrong its "4 MP" but the ultrapixel technology boosts the picture quality up to 3 times..which makes the picture quality up to almost 13 MP

this preview looks like a HTC supported marketing hype. this year seems to be HTC's media hype year.

Dirty tricks, but it does work. I myself owned an HTC sensation and it works fine just like any other phone. Don't listen to what you read on internet. Do some research yourself.

For a typical person usage it seems the HTC "innovation" has promise. I must admit to being annoyed with low light performance of every smartphone I have used so maybe this is the way to go.

AnonD-119065, 01 Mar 2013its mistake by gsmarena and its not 4 mega pixel its new te... moreLet me clarify things with regards to the issue surrounding the 4 megapixel chip in the HTC One. I am a professional photographer in the scientific field, trained at degree level, and I also lecture in this field. This is a common area of confusion surrounding the relationship between megapixel and quality of image. What you are dealing with here is a photographic compromise, more megapixels will give sharper photographs that can be enlarged more, however because they have have smaller pixel size on the chip there light grabbing ability is worse than a smaller megapixel chip of the same size. The signal from the photons of light gathered by the small pixels in the high megapixel chip will need more amplification, called 'gain' which will result in more noise to signal ratio, eg digital 'grain'. This image will be sharp but grainy with unsaturated (dull) colours. Manufacturers work hard to correct this with signal processing, but it will never make up for more light falling on the sensor.
If this principle is related to the HTC One chip, the chip is large and the pixels are low in number and larger, therefore the result will be a photograph that cannot be enlarged a great amount ( larger than A4), however the grain will be smaller with much better colour saturation. It also has the added benefit of being able to take much more acceptable photographs in low light levels such as social settings.
In conclusion it depends on you photographic requirements, if you have plenty of light (bright sun) then it is best to opt for a high megapixel camera like the Sony Experia Z 13Mp, however if your requirement is to take photographs inside or fast moving objects (aperture/ shutter relationship is a whole different subject) then its best to opt for a small megapixel that has a large physical sensor size like the HTC One.
This debate can roll on and on but the fact remains that there is not such thing as the perfect camera, first decide what you are wanting to photograph and then choose the appropriate camera. I hope this helps you all. Kind regards Moogyman
