Verizon owners of HTC's One Max phablet are now receiving the update to Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The new firmware for the 5.9-inch device will be seeding to Verizon owners in the US in the coming days.

Build number 3.09.605.2 brings a boatload of improvements over the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean build the device initially shipped with, most notably the update to HTC's Sense overlay to version 6. This includes:

  • Adding and removing content from BlinkFeed
  • UI refresh with new color palette and emotive typography
  • Update to the latest Camera UI
  • New simplified Gallery including video highlights
  • Update homescreen outside of Settings menu
  • HTV sense TV update
  • Customizable fonts
  • Various bug fixes and improvements

The update should be streaming OTA to Verizon customers now. Check your phones' about screen to see if its available in your region yet.
