14 August, 2014

Screenshots of the upcoming Huawei EmotionUI 3.0 have surfaced online. The latest version of the custom user interface is running on the company's upcoming flagship Glory 6.

Huawei confirmed that it is preparing an Android KitKat 4.4.2 update for its high end devices. It'll also give them a new paintjob in the form of EmotionUI 3.0.

The screenshots show that Huawei is embracing a new icon set that reminds us of MIUI. The choose of typography and visual elements indicates a more cleaner and streamlined approach to Huawei's upcoming user interface.

Additionally, we also received a few more screenshots straight from Huawei. It'll feature more unified design through the use of circles in many places of the UI.

We'll know more when the company is ready to fully unveil the update, which is expected to roll out in September.
