Huawei P10 Lite leaks ahead of proper announcement

Kaloyan, 26 February 2017

Huawei unveiled the P10 and P10 Plus flagships today, but didn't shed any light on a P10 Lite model. But it just couldn't stay away from the news.

A few retailers in the Netherlands have listed the Huawei P10 Lite with official pictures, specs, price, and everything. Maybe they did that prematurely, maybe not, we can't say for sure.

Anyway, the fact is that all the details about the Huawei P10 Lite are now out in the open. The phone won't come with the same design as the P10 duo, but it's quite attractive nevertheless. It has a metal frame and a dual-glass design, with its fingerprint sensor embedded on the back.

The P10 Lite shares a lot of similarities with the awkwardly named P8 Lite (2017) announced a few weeks ago. It packs a 5.2" IPS screen of 1080p resolution, and runs on the Kirin 655 chip with an octa-core A53 processor, Mali-T830MP2 GPU, and 4GB of RAM.

The P10 Lite has a 12MP f/2.2 main camera with a LED flash, and an 8MP selfie snapper. There is expandable 32GB storage, a microUSB port, and a 3,000 mAh battery.

Huawei P10 Lite runs on Android Nougat with EMUI 5.1. It will launch in Europe by the end of March and is priced at €349. The available color options are Black, Gold, and White.

Thanks to Hans and Wouter, who sent this in!
