I still use two of these, bought them back in 2012. They are robust, small and lightweighted, and ideal for hiking or biking. The only drawback is, that after 3G was shut down in Germany, they can only use 2G, that makes using Maps a little bit slow. I hope, they keep working for another 10 years. :-)

I used it, but it was hell! It was a pity to buy. Since then, I belong to Huawei phones.

On my Huawei U8510 the Wi-Fi stopped working completely and the phone would not work without it being plugged into charge (2 years ago, now it doesn't power on at all).

That's actually a really low amount of RAM. I never thought of it back in 2012, but now I do and wow have we came a long way since then!

Need Correction: The Camera(s) has only a Fixfocus, no AF! The Main RAM has only ~192 MB

I had this phone. The WiFi literally stopped working. Like, literally. And it's in an unusable state now since the entire phone no longer works.

What are the steps
To quickly get airplane mode, press the on/off-button at the top for a few seconds. You will get a menu (without a need for login), where you can select airplane mode besides "quiet", "reset" and "shutdown". NOTE: To return from airplane mode, you must know your SIM-PIN.
You can also activate airplane mode (or deactivate WIFI / mobile) in the settings under "wireless & networks".
If you want just WIFI, but no mobile network connection, you can chose airplane mode, and reactivate WIFI after that in the settings ("wireless & networks" -> check WIFI).

Five years ago I bought it, and I still use it. I upgraded to Android 2.3.5, that's all you can get with it. Due to very limited space, many applications cannot be installed, e.g WhatsApp or Skype is impossible to install, but as a simple mobile phone, MP3 player and for occasional internet access, camera or location determination via GPS / Google Maps, it is still OK. Also, battery still lasts quite long (up to several days with occasional use). I paid about 100€ in 2011, and don't regret it. I wouldn't buy it nowadays, for development didn't stop, and you can get much more for same money today.

The Wi-Fi stopped working on this phone, rendering it almost unusable for the internet. And the old Android version makes this terrible. Don't get it! You have been warned!
