Jelly Bean firmwares for Xperia S, acro S and SL get certified

08 May, 2013

It's been a really long wait for the Xperia S, acro S and SL users, but it’s finally coming to an end. The official firmwares for Sony Xperia S, Sony Xperia acro S and Sony Xperia SL have been certified. This means all three of them are completed and will start seeding any moment now.

The Jelly Bean updates for the smartphone trio have been postponed quite a few times, missing a couple of deadlines in the process. The important thing is, though, the Xperia S, SL and acro S users will most probably enjoy Android Jelly Bean by the end of the month.

The final build number is 6.2.B.0.200 for all three devices and should become available as an OTA update later this month (fingers crossed), so stay tuned.

We guess the Xperia ion update should be around the corner as well.
