LG teases new UX 6.0 user interface for the G6

LG has revealed that its upcoming G6 flagship smartphone will feature a new user interface dubbed UX 6.0. The company says the UI is "specifically customized" to take maximum advantage of the phone's 5.7-inch QHD+ FullVision display.

The device's display has an aspect ratio of 18:9, something which the company says will help offer advanced multi-tasking experience.

"The LG G6 takes advantage of the expansive 18:9 display in many ways," the firm said in a press release. "Open a call reception window next to the calendar app or the photo gallery at the same time as the message app. Multiple square photographs can be connected together and viewed as a Collage Wallpaper on the lock screen."

"Type a memo on one side while surfing the web on the other. Inside the calendar app, turning the G6 horizontally will display the calendar in the left window while a detailed schedule will appear on the right. The combinations are endless."

Moving on, LG also revealed that the G6 camera will allow you to simultaneously capture and review photos. There's a new Square Camera feature that divides the handset's 18:9 display into two identical perfect squares, allowing users to capture images in 1:1 format - a la Instagram - and review them in the adjacent window.

Another feature LG reveals is called Food Mode, which is basically a shooting mode that provides high color quality and saturation when capturing food items. The company also released a teaser video (embedded below) for the new UX 6.0 interface:

The LG G6 will be made official on February 26 a this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.

this is even worse that it was before... Only clean android is the way to go... (Moto, Nexus, Pixel, Oneplus etc...)

That is as annoying as the Note 7 jokes.

It is but it seems like Samsung's multi-window feature or Androids built-in split screen feature but on automatic mode or something.
