Plz I need to change the mobile data network on my LG p390 from 4g to 2g cos the 4g makes my phone hot and it drains the battery life.plz I have tried the *#*#code but there's no way I can change it there, so plz I just joined the room plz help me!

this phone is a peace of crap! never try to upgrade to ics, it will be your nightmare!!! rebooting, freezing, hot like hell, shutdown itself and red halo on screen.

Is there any way to upgrade the software of this phone without rooting or modding it?
I cant upgrade OTA or using the LG website links, and still running Gingerbread. I would like to upgrade to ICS. LG support dont seem to care and are no help at all, so any advice would be appreciated.

Install smart launcher from play store to this phone. It turns your phone into smooth android pc. Recommended.

10.2 and KK issues from CM are kernel based, untill kernel is fixed / updated best to use cm10.1 based roms

My phone becomes so hot and the battery drains faster...
Ive replaced battery several times... can anyone please help solve my difficulty?

- Make sure your phone is rooted.
- Make sure you have a recovery system like CWM installed.
- Put both the rom zip and gapps zip on your sd card.

I'm using it now: phone works fine, wifi works fine, internet and camera too. Only catch: the YouTube app doesn't work for now.
Your phone must be rooted and you must have the CWM recovery tool - get it through the Rom Manager app on Google Play.
Boot in CWM, clear-format the main partition, install the rom zip, install the gapps zip, done!

The LG Nitro HD is officially supported by CyanogenMod, just go on that page and pick whichever release you want to use: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/P930_Info
Android 4.2 is stable, 4.3 is beta.
If you want a customized rom instead, there are several here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-nitro-hd/development
Someone is even porting Android 4.4 Kitkat (alpha).
