winetaste69, 23 Jan 2013i need help to root this phone...anybody..plz..http://androidforums.com/optimus-l9-all-things-root/647672-updated-root-t-mobile-lg-l9-p769.html

I rooted mine within the first couple of weeks with no problems. But I'm a noob at this, so I read lots of posts and took my time with the instructions. No point in rooting yet though because it still won't let you move apps to SD and cyangenomod isn't supported for the phone yet. So I don't think I really gained anything from doing this.

AnonD-101995, 20 Jan 2013Just using app " APP 2 SD " from play store...hop... moreapp2sd or any other app for moving things to the SD will no longer work as of google os 4.04. Without providing an alternative, google removed this feature from the android os. The only thing you can put on the SD card is pictures, movies and music. So getting a phone with a large internal memory is crucial.

Though L9 might not be the latest hard-hitting Android handset in the market, but with a powerful spec sheet and latest version of OS, it seems to be a good deal for budget-conscious consumers, who want to put their hands-on latest and advanced smartphone. Still, if you are not a big fan of LG phones, you are free to lay your hand on Nokia Lumia and other Samsung and Sony handsets. But if you are one who wish to bring it home, LG L9 might not go wrong. Hope, this LG Optimus L9 Review proves to be helpful and provide you with right information. Read more @ http://giventech.com/lg-optimus-l9-review/

In order to use the P769 in your country it would have to be unlocked for carriers in your city.

brother i am using P765 which we get in india, it awesome , its got gorgeous 4.7 inch ips screen with dual core processor with 1 gb Ram what more could i ask for 17k. I don't like sony cause new xperia phones have micro sim slot which is diffrent from normal sim cards, and like swaping sims between phones so it would be pain to get micro sim for the each time.
also the customizations done by LG in optimus are really good looking like it supports themes by defualt you can customize the toggle buttons these features are normally found on custom roms which LG is giving by defualt.

Hi, Planning to buy this mobile from US, in one of the online site it says, No Annual Contract, just concerned that if i can use this device in India????

i know that "Unlocked Mobiles" can be used any where.

But want to know what "No Annual Contract" stands for please suggest....
