Moto Z Droids and Moto Mods now up for pre-order exclusively on Verizon

Victor, 21 July, 2016

As originally promised, Verizon has kicked-off its exclusive sale of the Droid editions of the Moto Z handsets and the Moto Mods. Both the Moto Z and the Moto Z Force can be pre-ordered today and will be available in Verizon's stores staring July 28.

The Moto Z, which is less capable but also a lot thinner handset is available for $26 per month on a Verizon device payment plan or $624 sans contract.

However, it is the Moto Z Force that has caught our eye, as it is still a US-only offer. It will set you back $30 a month on a payment plan or $720 up front. The extra $96 get you a bigger 3,500 mAh battery, as well as a different camera setup and ShatterShield protection on the 5.5-inch, QHD AMOLED display. For more info and comparisons, you can check out our hands-on of the Moto Z Force.

Since the devices are already out, it only makes sense for Verizon to carry the full set of Moto Mods snap-on accessories as well. The most expensive and extravagant of the bunch, the Insta-Share Projector retails for $299.99.

Then there is JBL's SoundBoost Speaker with a price tag of $79.99. And, if you are after something a bit more traditional, there is a selection of TUMI power banks ranging from $59.99 to $89.99 and also a wide range of Incipio Back Plates for some extra style. These are priced at $14.99 a piece.
