Yesterday, 19/07, there were some news about a dual chip version of this phone in Brazil (price: R$ 1.099,00 - brazilian Real).

This is a lower-mid range phone intended for sale only in Brazil. Our DTV standards make easier for gadget makers to embed DTV receivers on their products, so we have all sort of tech gadgets with DTV around here: dumbphones, smartphones, tablets, GPS receivers, laptops and even desktops. Motorola, LG, Samsung and Nokia are among the makers which already released DTV-compatible products around here.
Motorola picked the trademark "Atrix" because it's already well known in Brazilian land. Since this is not a flagship (it's actually kind of a niche product), they must have decided it would be less expensive that way.

don't know why a lot of people d... moreMaybe because they come with LOCKED bootloaders and software updates are eons after any other popular manufacturers such as Samsung/HTC etc.
Iv had the Droid razr for 4 months, got sick of it then sold it, Moto did not stick to their promise, ICS still not available, boot-loader locked, no firmware support from android community, disgusting really, i vowed never to buy a Moto branded product again. Like they say, looks can be deceiving and thus the trap i fell into with the razr.
