Gionee Elife E7 Mini is now available for $315

15 April, 2014

Announced back in December last year, the Gionee Elife E7 Mini is finally on sale in India.

Packing a 4.7" IPS IGZO display of 720p resolution the Elife E7 Mini features a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 CPU and a Mali 450MP4 GPU in addition to 1GB of RAM. Sadly, the 16GB of onboard memory isn't expandable.

The Elife E7 Mini measures 139.8 x 66.2x 8.6mm and weighs 142.9 grams, which is a bit heavier than the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact (137 grams) and the LG G2 mini (121 grams). According to the company, the 2,200mAh battery of the phone should be good for 18 hours of talk time and up to 200 hours of standby time.

The main attraction of the Elife E7 Miini is its 13MP camera. It sits on a rotating mechanism, which allows it to double as a front-facing camera as well. Next to it, there's an LED flash. The phone runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Elife's custom Amigo 2.0 skin on top.

The Elife E7 Mini features NFC and comes in both dual- and single-SIM variants. Available in black, blue, pink and white, the phone currently retails for $315/€228 (INR18,999) but it is unclear when it will be available outside of India.

The 8 cores is a bit dodgy. As usual, over rated tech specs aren't as expected. The 8cores algorithm may only slightly better than 2cores old samsung.
