Galaxy Note 6 'Lite' rumored with SD820 SoC, 1080p display, and 4GB RAM

Himanshu, 06 May, 2016

Just a couple of weeks ago, there were reports that Samsung is testing two Galaxy Note 6 versions - one with flat screen, and the other with curved edges.

While there's no word on which of the two will see the light of the day (or if both will be launched), a new rumor is claiming that a scaled-down variant is in the works as well.

Thankfully, the rumor also reveals some of the specs of this new variant: SD820 chipset, 1080p display resolution (size remains 5.8-inch), and 4GB RAM.

It's funny that with this kind of specs, we're calling it a scaled-down or 'Lite' version, but the fact is that there's no other option given that the rumored spec-sheet of the standard Galaxy Note 6 currently says: Snapdragon 823, 5.8-inch QHD display, and 6 (or even 8) GB of RAM.

Needless to say, currently everything is in the air as none of these specs have been officially confirmed. So take all this with a heavy dose of salt.

Goodbye IP68! I'll take removable battery over IP68 anyday! BTW, Galaxy S5 has both removable battery and IP67 rating. so, it's not impossible.
