New update hitting T-Mobile Galaxy S7/S7 edge units

Himanshu, 24 May, 2016

Just a few weeks after rolling out an update that brought along support for FM radio playback, T-Mobile has started pushing out another update to Galaxy S7 and S7 edge units on its network.

Weighing in at around 43MB, the update doesn't bring along any new features but does include some security related improvements - "Google Security update" as per the change-log. Reportedly, the update fixes a critical software issue that, if exploited, can erase the complete memory of your handset.

As is the case usually with OTA roll-outs, it may take some time for the update to hit your device. Meanwhile, if you are feeling impatient, you can manually check for it by heading to your phone's Settings menu.
