26 May, 2015

Microsoft is slowly turning to India as the testing ground for its upcoming smartphones. Last month, we reported on Microsoft’s plan to bring a new Lumia 840 soon and now we've got more evidence to support it.

It comes from import data for India as available at Zauba. The mysterious device listed points at 5.7-inch display in both single SIM and dual SIM flavors. India is one of the important markets where in single as well as dual SIM smartphones irrespective of price range are in demand.

Lumia 840 is expected to arrive with the latest version of the Lumia Denim update wrapped in the Windows Phone 8.1 GDR2. Indeed it will get the Windows 10 Mobile update in future.

The price Lumia 840 as per the listing is $600, but these import listings are rarely indicative of the final price.
