The Samsung SM-A500 has passed by TENAA and has left behind photos and specifications. The phone is expected to be a mid-range Alpha – premium build, a 5" Super AMOLED screen with 720p resolution and a Snapdragon 400 chipset.

The TENAA info confirms these specs and adds 1.2GHz CPU clockspeed (quad-core), 2GB RAM and Android 4.4.4 KitKat. There's 16GB of built-in storage with a microSD card slot (up to 128GB cards are supported).

The phone packs a 13MP main camera with 1080p video capture. Earlier info claimed the camera will be an 8MP shooter. On the connectivity side there's quad-band 2G, then there's 3G (international and Chinese) and LTE (the Chinese flavor).

The Samsung SM-A500 measures 139.3 x 69.7 x 6.7mm and weighs 126g, so it will have Galaxy Alpha's impressive thin and light build. The phone was photographed in White but there will be a Black versions, perhaps others too.

Think of the iPhone 6... spec'd like a 2012 Android phone... priced a fortune. Yet it will have a lot of following. Specifications isn't everything. A lot of India/chins brands are spec'd like flagship killers yet have low quality and performance.
