Sprint's HTC One E8 is now seeing Android 5.0 Lollipop rollout

21 May, 2015

HTC's Android Lollipop rollouts have reached the One E8 sold by Sprint. Starting today, if you own one of these devices, you can expect to be notified about the update. Obviously though, that may not happen immediately. Since over-the-air software distribution comes with staged releases, it may be a few days (or weeks) before all One E8 units get to taste Lollipop.

But the update is coming, that's for sure. Aside from bringing the OS up to Android 5.0, this release for the One E8 also removes the Lumen toolbar.

After you apply the update, you'll be running software version 2.32.651.7. Expect to see Lollipop goodies such as the new lock screen and notification shade UI, a recent apps display which supports multiple pages, and a new search function in Settings.

The full, detailed installation instructions are available at the Source link below. That's also where you can find out how to manually perform the update.
