well atleast we have a choice with this OS. unlike in IPHONE your stuck with it and consumer dont like that. thats why we buy an expensive smartphone to be able to enhance it customize it by our own likes. IPHONE doesn't do that so i am very happy with android 2.0 hope windows mobile 6.5 would do great also even do its still clunky.

You "pay" with your private integrity.

Nothing from Google is "free" it's all supported by ads and when you use an android device you have to store your personal information on their servers.

It can get location via internet. It uses cell towers to track your position. This is not new, Nokia phenes uses this to get faster GPS lock.

GPS is what the phone will use to find its position, any navigation software needs GPS to find a location, you cant use the internet to find your current location, so if your phone doesnt have GPS built in, or if you dont have an external (bluetooth) GPS reciever, your phone wont be able to find its location. This software wont be bundled with a phone that wont have GPS in it anyway, it would be a pointless bit of software to have without it.
