Works on my SE K750i perfectly, downloaded thru wap download. I think its a great improvement over the Nordic Version 1.0

              Dreadnought:

No risk using Opera Mini. Viruses or spyware wouldnt run on your phone anyway...

You should not use the browser to access bank sites etc. since the connection to your phone (from the Opera proxy which receives and dtransforms all the data us access) is not secure. But everything else is fine. You can access webmail - not all that nesessary with max security for that...

I find this most interesting. How about safety? If it can display pages up to 80% then you´d expect that the phone might get infected by spyware or viruses? So users? How is it?

just to let everyone know - this is NOT the same version that people have been using for any number of months - this is version 1.2 - the previous version (the most recent one to come out) was 1.1

im not sure what the differences are - however, this it the OFFICIAL release - so no one (besides the developers) have had this before today...

I have been using this for about 2 months, it's fantastic, the only problem is that you can't video clips on it or 'right click' an image to save to your phone.

I have Cingular GSM also and just downloaded it for my Nokia 6021. I got the GPRS settings from Nokia.com for my phone so that I could connet to the Cingular networks. My WAP browser that came with the phone is able to connect to the internet but when using the Opera browser it couldn't get online. Too bad because the program looks awesome.

yeah, i've been using it for about 6 months too. There were 2 releases as far as i know, a norwegian one and a russian one, but they were for test purposes. This one is official.
And it's the best phone software worth paying money for

Wow ! I'm so jealous ! I downloaded Opera Mini, checked my settings with my Cingular U.S. provider, am able to get onto their MediaNet just fine, but no luck with Opera !

Too bad, too, because it really looks great to use... Just wish it would connect for me... I even had Nokia's Phone Wizard text me the settings, but still no dice with getting Opera on the Net...

Any suggestions or help would be really appreciated ! Thanks !

Have been using Mini on a 6230i for a month. Brilliant. Small, fast, smart, nice keypad shortcuts, knocks spots off the WAP browser. Great for interactive stuff; eBay, flight reservations etc. And not only free but SSR saves download £££ too. Highly recommended.
