What will you do with a 12 MP phone anyway? Print a poster? LMAO.
Other companies just offer useless innovations such as a 12 MP camera which you really don't need.
And compare the clarity of the iPhone's cam to an LG, it's light years more clearer.

By now even they couldn't provide a user friendlier and better touch responsiveness than iPhone. All other things like video recording, phtography are secondary to what I call stability and user interface. Apple had left behind all other companies and over 30 million sales can clearly demonstrate the leadership in comparison to thousands devices produced from Nokia or HTC. Be cool!!!!!

don't get excited about 1/1.9 sensor size. It will be definately better camera phone than current phones. And that is it!
Nokia is now using P&S sensor in N8. Sensor area increase approx 50%.
If you read review on sensor, many suggested that 6MP for P&S camera setting. At most 8MP. 12MP will only give you double file size with minor image quality inmprovement. There are other factors affecting the image quality, not just sensor alone.
Overall, it is still a good trend. One day we really do not need to carry P&S camera. Hopefully, DSLR in next 10 yrs.
For me, I will choose userfriendlyness, fast response and apps over camera.
PS. I do not understand why mod deleted my previous post here regarding camera phones.

a smartphone that may beat the iphone hd is the nokia n8 which has 12 mp and xenon flash with 720p video recording capablity and a great cpu.

I've used a VGA camera with a floppy disk in it and still managed photo's that expressed the moment and that are still available today to relive memories, at the time it was one f the best available.
You do the best with whatever you have and iPhones take decent photo's, it's the subject that's important not how much of a tosser you are by babbling on about megapixels.
Millions of photo's are uploaded by iPhones, more than any other CAMERA, let alone phone.

I think everyone has a different taste when it comes a product especially smartphones. For me personally I never like apple products and am extremely happy with my Android phones. It won't take a long time for Android to top Apple since more and more people realize the real power of Android OS. I don't like to be Apple's slave and feel restricted. And I'm enjoying the the real freedom along with a very powerful OS. Really....try Android then you'll know the difference. For Steve Job...I know he loves porn too cause he clicks on Safari all the time!

N97? Who is still talking about that ... more@sosi, there is no need for me to read through all the comments. This is because like all others (the iPhone users as you mention), I am a happy owner and long time user of the iPhone. I am just questioning your way of thinking. Personally, I have never changed phones so many times in my life since I was introduced to the iPhone. As a long time user, I currently own both the 3G and 3GS since the iPhone was orignally launched in Australia. Not only this, I feel that I am addicted and will probably end up with the next gen, 4G or HD, whatever it will be called.
I am in full agreement of your point of view. I just used the N97 and N8 (no idea of the launch date though it is expected on the 3rd quarter of this year according to gsmarena) as an example.

Finally a posting worth of compliment here,time for GSMArena to get rid of those bad mouth-narrow minded-retro phone users with limited budgets & lifestyle out of this forum and published more of this kind of comment,feels like you could read my daily life,that's what i called EXPERIENCE,knowing by living,pt yourself in other shoes,Etc.
I used to be that "Other phone owner",i'm not trying to be arrogant here by saying i changed phones more than twice in a year before 3Gs come into my life,i have used most of those big brands product,almost none survived more than a year,only one particular SE phone made it through year one,,and now it's positive my next phone's gonna be iPhone 4G.
So...yes i believe someone,in fact many out there feels the mutual feelings,and it's getting more everyday as iPhone users is growing by now,like i've said many times before : own an iPhone,then you know the difference.

N97? Who is still talking about that phone? Anonymous(es) are using their super duper N900 by now. Then noone will talk about N900 after N8 comes out (anyway when will it lunch?)
Please read through most of the comments from iPhone users. They are not really interested your N8, X10 or Nexus1. They are mostly happy with iPhone. Do u know what happy customer do? They buy again. Sales figure also proved it. Which phone can continue to sell after 6 or 9 month without discount? No other than iPhone.
