Marshmallow beta update for Sony devices brings back STAMINA Mode

Sony’s Marshmallow Beta has recently been updated and will bring back one of Sony customers’ favorite power saving features: STAMINA mode. Which automatically shuts down app processes when they are not in use. This feature was first removed from Sony's first Android Marshmallow builds. Most likely because they were working on getting the feature working correctly.

    Yes it is very obvious that the older version of stamina mode was much better
    The new one doesn't make you control the display light, the phone respond improperly and it keeps showing up at the notification bar. I hope you fix it because it was very helpful and effective

      I have already 6.0.1 marshmallow how can update the beta marshmallow, because my latest version of marshmallow is up to date now, i need beta marshmallow

              just to mention that ... the first 'stamina-less' marshmallo update has just begun to be unrolled in Fr. and that's a bad news : given the timing they should have skipped it entirely.

                    When Will it roll out ? These memory leaking issues are so annoying when you have a device with 3gb of ram ! Everything used to be so smooth on lollipop , marshmallow brought everything but stability ...

                      Is Stamina Mode more urgent or important than the restoration of the option to turn off noise cancellation? The other end of the line cannot understand what I am saying when it is turned on (same complaint of many other Z2 users). It's a phone, and a phone's main feature is the call, so it should have been in their highest priority to resolve. Imagine not being able to call using a flagship phone! Callers who learned that I'm using Sony now thinks Sony indeed sucks, and it is.

                        I could have not updated, if I knew this is such a horrible update, I could have easily skipped it.

                          Even if the update is available dont install Jimmy. It just takes the feature you love away.

                            This is the thing I cant stand with Sony and Google even more...updates. my phone is fine as is I am using kitkat and its doing just fine. It seems the updates can remove more than they fix. security oh yeah I have nothing to secure on the phone anyway.

                              Is it because Google is jealous of Sony and disallowed them to put their good features on the latest Android OS? I think Google really hates Sony. I can't see any products from Google that is related to Sony.

                                    To me the deal breaker was the removal of Ultra Stamina mode.
                                    I travel much and I've had occasions where there is just no access to a power outlet. I could just activate that and the phone could last for a week without being recharged. I really miss that feature, glad it seems that it's coming back too.

                                      My z2 after upgrading to marshmallow is amazing i wasn't expecting this lol good joob google&sony but stamina mode is still better than the doze
