iOS 5 beta is barely out the closet, already jailbroken

10 June, 2011
The jailbreak was done using the LimeRa1n exploit, which is used from iOS4 up until 4.3.3. Still it's only a tethered jailbreak, meaning that each time you reboot your iDevice you'll need it hook it up...

If Apple wants to stop people from tinkering with the inner workings of their products (which should be its right as a manufacturer), then they've taken a step forward with this. But I just know that those codemonkeys will find a way around this yet again. It's evolution, baby.

sadly this will always happen. the great cat and mouse chase with developers and hackers.

things will never change. since the days of the amiga. there is a clever person to develop an OS then an even clevered person to hack it.

I have owned an Iphone from day one and i have never once jailbroke any of mine.

Im happy with how it runs now, the things that are free are great and the things that you need to pay for are also great, so i dont see the problem in paying for something if it is ghoing to benefit me.

All you guys bickering about different OS's etc you need to get a grip, The fact that Apple is one of the worlds biggest companys, and the fact that Iphone is one of the worlds best selling phones just goes to prove that the few of you on these forums moaning about other OS's etc are actually only a drop in the ocean, therefore your message doesn't go as faras you first thought.

I love the idea of iphone being jailbroken. Usually a jailbroken phones are phones which does not reach the high standard of a smart user. Smart user meaning the rich, the poor and the nerdy. It is actually a good thing.

After Android, Apples second worst nightmare is jailbreak. It makes alot of stuff free, stuff that should have been free to begin with. As soon as you jailbreak your iPhone, Steve can no longer charge you money for taking a breath. Your life is your own.

Yeah,right :D :D
Everything made by human can be hacked/unmade/modificated/remixed by human.
In the worst case I'll sell my IpodTouch because if it's not jailbroken it's no use of me.

even though some most of the unlocked things are close to original, they leave this scar of jailbreak.

i don't understand why these guys who belong to the teams specify which loop hole or security hole they exploited to come out with the jailbreak. it's of no use to us the end users so if it's for the consumption of other team members, keep it between you lot. you should have learned that by now.
