To all that are being negative about this upgrade, please bear in mind that firstly, not that many droids out there are on Gingerbread yet and even more so from official updates from their manufacturers. Gingerbread is still in its infancy stages as far as rollout and dispensing so August is by no means late. Secondly, there are so many manufacturers out there that have clearly stated officially that they will be giving their former flagships the taste of Gingerbread because of silly hardware and software limitations - prime example being the HTC Desire which HTC just released lastweek wont be upgraded. Now bear in mind the Desire was released at about the same time if not a little earlier than the X10 and has very similar hardware but its not getting it so people start being objective and look at the facts... SONY ERICSSON ARE LISTENING AND DOING WHAT THEY SAY!

Sony ericsson is delaying all good phone releases. Im sony ericsson fan but what've heard from customer care centre is only high range models will be updated. No update for mini or mini pro versions. Also W8 or android walkman devices wont be updated. They say software and hardware for low and midrange devices is not good for update so when i asked for 2.3 midrange device they've asked me to wait and im waiting since 4 months and yesterday when i called them they again said wait? Why sony wants to lose fans like me. I've been using sony devices since 8years! I think its time to change!

Johnnythor, 21 Jun 2011according to the blog no 16M support :(4" screen but only 65K color. Vivaz 16M color screen is better in this aspect, but SE has stupidly scrap Vivaz while they can simply compile vanilla Symbian^3 for it.

I personally have that cause I got tired of waiting for Android phones, Sony Ericsson (always a fan) and the whole Android eco system to catch up with Apple. Still to the day there are more Android apps but not as good in comparison. I believe Android has some more growing up to do but then again Apple will be a step ahead. The future will tell us...

Dont know how many apps it's running in the background, but the interface looks slow compared to the Super-Speed Arc( although we cannot compare). Hopefully this is a pre-release version as the video suggests. Big + for the old camera interface.
