Don't go for this phone as nokia is gonna release the W series in a few months. Relief from symbian, the W series phones operating system is gonna be the Windows Phone 7, the best mobile opearting system in the world, and of course, better than android...
However, WP7 requires at least 1GHz processor and 512MB ram, the W series phones does have those features.
One of the nokia phone is gonna have 2Ghz dual core processor with 1GB ram....
It's gonna beat the Samsung Galaxy SII to become the best phone in the world.....
So my suggestion is, wait a few days for nokia to launch the W series......

Nokia N9 MeeGo is truly an amazing phone. I have not been using Nokia devices for the past three years but seems like this phone will take me back to use Nokia's smartphone. Lately i have been using BlackBerry but this N9 has really grabbed my attention through its highly sophisticated and elegant design and top of the line features along with its performance.

Checkout mind-blowing images and couple of impressive videos on:

After years of trying Nokia finally brought us a great phoine. Wonderful touch UI, great looks, the whole package and suddenly they decide they dont want to continue with the platform anymore? WHYY. Its like the stupid goofs are allergic to success. Hashwired says that engadget already has their hands on a piece how come? http://hashwired.wordpress.com/2011/06/24/nokia-n9-meego-is-here/

Why do you need dual core cpu? windows phone 7 is also using 1ghz cpu and it runs smoth. I think what is pushing android is the hardware more than software.

now.. rereading this device specs and the old Elop announces i realize that N9 is yet another "iPhone killer". Because:
                                    - it copies iPhone "look i have thouZandZ of Apps" UI, though partially and tries to improve it (i think successfully)
                                    - fancy design
                                    - anti-death-grip body
                                    - minimum number of buttons.
                                    - 1 model per year policy.
                                    - same storage capacity.
                                    - price not announced but i believe will be comparable to iPhone (= extremly high price)

I personally consider any attempt to copy iPhone is doomed, while any attempt to produce something 1 step better will be success. Actually think about it. Apple strike on smartphone market came with something looking as space technology compared to 19 sentury tech - so if you want to beat it - you need something 2 times more fancy. And currently i see no such product. That means N9 will not "save" Nokia killing their Nemesis (read as iPhone). By the way there is no such product that can fill up the whole market, because people have different needs. While everyone is trying to get iPhone's place a huge hole in market is opening... finally chinese or indian company will take that market space "for free".
