On the other hand design pays off, this why cars like Mini gets sold, although they don't justify the price ;)

S.Jobs death is irrelevant to this,Samsung was preparing this counter-attack and was expecting the next iphone to appear.
So they cannot wait or hurry, this is the only relevant fact to their counter-sueing.
In every open market there are ethics, Ethics Apple is trying to abuse.
Because of their influence in the US jurisdictional pattern system, they thought they could get away with abusing it, for ever.
You need to respect the collective power of your opponents, hopefully all the mobile companies will keep the law suits coming vs Apple, so that they will learn this lesson, the hard way.
And then, if they survive, hopefully they will grow more mature and decide to face competition on the market, not on the courts.
If they cant compete on the market, then just pull off, rather than this pattern law suit parade...

It seems that since the original Galaxy S, samsung has been trying to cover its own back. No one can deny the Galaxy S copied the iPhone 3G, and then the Galaxy ACE copying the iPhone 4. Both in appearance and software (Same Icons, menu layout, etc). Just seems like another game for samsung to try and destroy its competition.

He would have done the same, sorry he was a man with great innovative ideas, but Apple's own business "rules" have always been hard...So why should samsung be any different ? And who is it, that has stopped all selling of galaxy 10.1 in germany ??? Ehm isnt it Apple ?

HTC and samsung were both on the market before iPhone with smartphones with each own operating systems which sucked big time, but THAN came Appple and improved the already developed product ;)

Copy from the others? it's valid, even when you see on Stratrek Next generation movie, ipad already there. but it's not apple. let market decide about what they want to buy.

Oh come on Uncle Sammy.
As an Android user, it might seem a bit strange coming from me but give Apple some slack. It's a new product. Let people at least have fun with it for a year or so.

Neither Apple nor Samsung is my father company to worry about. I wish I could have both iphone 4S and Galaxy S II.
