Looks like an awesome phone. I'd want to know more before I get too excited. The dual GSM/CDMA will be attractive to North Americans but CDMA is pretty much dead everywhere else. The main thing I'd want to know is does it do WCDMA ("3G" in GSM-world) 850MHz and 900MHz as well as the usual 2100MHz?

Google and Samsung have postponed their planned product launch at next week’s CTIA Fall event in San Diego. Though the company hasn't shared specifics of what they'll be unveiling, most analysts expect the duo to launch their next Nexus device, the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy Nexus Prime running Android's Ice Cream Sandwich release.

The companies sent out the following announcement regarding the delayed launch:

“Samsung and Google decide to postpone the new product announcement at CTIA Fall. We agree that it is just not the right time to announce a new product. New date and venue will be shortly announced.”

Something very strange... if previously leaked first image of Nexus Prime showing display specs is correct, it differs from new video in one detail (as far as I see): back button.

On leaked image it's stylized as high-tech icon, and on video it's classic "U" arrow. There could be lots of explanation, but that's what I noticed instantly as I was watching it.

Anyway, 4.65" is ridiculously too large to be comfortable. Besides, it's Samsung... there's been too many issues with Samsung products regarding the quality of the WiFi, GPS, 3G reception, I won't commit the same error twice.

Talha, 07 Oct 2011Whatever da specs, Android is not optimized for Dual Cores....Really? Google, a company with a market cap well north of $100bn didn't think that it might be a good idea to optimize Ice Cream Sandwich for dual core procs?

The Android team should really consider hiring you for your wisdom.

Talha, 07 Oct 2011Whatever da specs, Android is not optimized for Dual Cores....True. But only to android OSs currently running. That is why ICS is being launched with this phone, to utilize the hardware's multiple core structure.

Talha, 07 Oct 2011Whatever da specs, Android is not optimized for Dual Cores....Well, as the Nexus Prime will probably be running the new Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), you really can't say anything about that now can you?

I dunno. The source sounds like he just wants to put out a phone that mimicks the iPhone 4S specs.

I'll believe it when I see it. Remember the hype for the Nexus S last year? And it turned out to be a warmed over Galaxy S. I think this will be a warmed over Galaxy SII with Ice Cream Sandwich.
