I actually on iOS 5.0.1 Verizon 4S could do this and while I didn't have the AT&T or T-Mobile SIM I got it to roam on their network for a few min and made a call through AT&T :)))))) but I updated to 5.1 and its gone :((((((

no, it'll not work with a data plan because it'll be redirected to the same server of activation! I Tried it before and it seems that you can get the tmobile network but you'll never be able to make calls! I even could get some text msgs I sent over facebook to my tmobile number to test if it would work and for my surprise it worked, I got the msgs i sent, but no phone calls!

> In reply to JPECS @ 2011-12-13 15:45 from NJIJ - click to readYou should stay up to date on what is going on in the tech industry. Firstly Apple has never approved of jailbreaks, so it is there issue not T-mobile and AT&T. Second, At&t has backed off from the negotiations as to acquire T-Mobile because the Department of Justice stepped in... now At&t tried a second time but decided it's not worth it. too many people against the merger.

this is not a good way to unlock and risky because what's the chance people will buy and own 2 separate carriers sim cards with data plan (AT&T and Tmobile/International). If you borrow an active AT&T sim card from someone to unlock your iphone and assuming you successfully did it. And the next time you are away and your phone is out of power, then you have to re-do the whole process again and good luck to you if you can find someone will lend you an active AT&T sim to unlock the iphone. Very smart strategy from AT&T.

This is not a glitch, this is an ATT Plan as they own the T-Mobile now.

all iphones are generic then they lock to the network when you put there sim in, Do no make the same mistake and move old micro in to old phone with there numbers then put the sim into the new iphone it will lock and customers get angry

Wow fancy that apple users have had no flash support for the past 4years or so and they claimed tgey were not bothered.noe html5 is coming out there all bothered.Strange people its all excuses will them. The only reason i bought my tablet was for internet browsing and having the full use of the internet is important and not how many games does your phone play.Pathetic
