I don't think it's entirely wise to be comparing the two, considering that Android covers more mobile smartphones as compared to iOS. Like, how many smartphones are actually carrying Android?

      just a thought..

3 months ago I used iPhone 4 and was good, also I test the iPhone 4S and there is no many changes, right know I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S2 and is better, faster, big display, lighter and cheaper.
Android is open & growing fast, sorry Apple!!

Android and IOS offer similar functionality and user facilities with Android offering a little more functions which are liked more by the users. What Applce lacks is CNA - Customer Need Analysis. Apple develops phones as they like presuming that customer will buy anything they produce.. But Android is expert at it and has emerged by penetrating deeply into the market. It is not the question of 'anything good has to come down one day'. Both the companies are following good strategies by constantly updating their OSs and phones with Apple being a little late boy types and Android being very proactive. However, having said all of this, Apple still stands a better stance as they own the hardware and software, if it adds a fleet of models into their portfolio, they will sure be the Market winners such that Google, Nokia will never be able to catch hold of it.. Apple needs to revamp its strategy and google needs to continue what its doing with samsung - keep updating and making its users happy regularly - but in the race don't forget that updating the technology too frequently can upset the users as well as no one wud want to spend all the time..

it is obvious people are realizing that many 'nice to have' features aren't just exclusively available on high end devices. While android is available on a plethora of devices, high end as well as middle range, but support for these features is distributed across these devices, there is a sense of let down from the devices at the higher end - since they are now only specs-wise superior and no more feature-wise. Android platform has contributed A LOT for this to happen, by unlocking a lot to the general consumer. Apple's exclusiveness is no more exclusive. Questions like - Do I really need something like Facetime - only between same device, in the same house (wifi), and declare that video calling has been invented ( ...!) - has intrigued me when iPhone4 was released. Perhaps people are releazing they were fooled with 'glamorous' ideas, leaving out basic needs.
                  My two cents.

android is friendly.. you no need to jailbreak to customize it.. unlike iphone. Iphone is too costly, and they aren't having many choices of iphone in every release.

for once guys...lets be honest to our selves. you want to get the most out of your money. You would rather choose something that has so much to offer with a cheaper price tag than something that is expensive and only provides you status quo of having a goldbar which you can only use for show. lets cut the crap, numbers show... it's just your loyalty to Apple that is being hurt, but deep inside..you know what i posted is quite right. Android wins the market.Period

I agree with Nokia Fanboy PRO that Windows Phone will take over Android with WP8 integration with Windows 8 and all phones get updates at same time. Microsoft finally got it right this time with Windows Phone.

actually your very much correct about the mcdonald thing.. android is the mcdonald of smartphone. Not Basically due to crappy service or products, it's becaus android/mcdonalds gives what people wants. you woudn't be buying stuff you won't be enjoying. Mcdonalds is no.1 because they make happy customers, same goes with android. Can you see the logic? give what they want, they buy your product. and what do people want? Ofcourse..nothing but the best :P

Yeah android rocks because of the cost and variety of manufacturer. whereas apple are way to costly. android phones offers latest tech specification with there large screens which tends to lure everybodys mind. iphone offers spectacularly well organised OS platform, for them quality and sustainability is the main aspects whereas android suffers due to independent nature of there OS but good thing about is everybody get an opportunity to use smartphones. finally, to end is android is the champ in total sales magnitude, whereas the iphone should target over there price i mean focusing on lowering there price of there models.
