As I said in my previous posts, I rarely feel the pinch when it comes to memory. As regards the screen, it's the sunlight legibility that is a bit bothersome at times, other than that it's a brilliant screen with some difficulties in terms of viewing angles.

This phone urgently requires AMOLED display and increased internal memory. Making it white won't improve sales.

Still, if you're going to use 3D games and have internet / wi-fi on in the background, expect a good hit on the battery - I don't mind much when it comes to battery, as, like I said, I am often near a plug or computer so I keep it charged, but if you'll be up and about often, it should serve you for between 10-15 hours of moderate use. Depends on what you run and for how long though, as usual. It's not a super battery, that's for sure. Though from what I read I think it's something that plenty of these high-end devices suffer from.

Can you comment on its battery time?? how long it lasts if I am playing game on it say for 30 mins, then use it for net browsing normal messaging, about 1 hr calls, some pics may be 5 with flash on... any rough idea about it??

Tahir, 09 Feb 2012How much RAM is it using while Running only its OS, and no ... moreLet me explain the RAM issue. Android does a good job in managing RAM - if you're running a game that requires more RAM than you have available, Android closes background apps that you won't need during the game. In my case, I play games like Blood & Glory and EA's Real Racing 2 (full 3D games) without any lag whatsoever. I often switch back and forth using task manager to check emails and SMS WHILST playing. Same with PES 2012. The only issue that I do encounter sometimes is that when I QUIT the game, HTC Sense reloads the interface, in say 2 seconds maximum. I don't mind that and I understand that it's probably cuz Android shuts down Sense interface temporarily to free up GPU processing power (Sense is 3D as well).

As for SGS2, I never used it - so I can't judge it's lags/performance, I doubt it would have any. As I said, tech is better there. But I still prefer a 2 second lag on rare oscassions that hardly affects me, and a vastly nicer UI and screen for browsing. But that's me. ;)

it would be cool too if in the future it could be possible to change the back cover, becouse sometimes people like to change a bit style.

My HTC Sensation XE suffers badly from the death grip. Any body else had this problem?? Always dropping reception to not having any signal at all on Vodafone. Today in a nearby town I had no signal at all and had to restart the fone after 10 mins. My previous fone, the iFone 3gs, always had full signal in the same area. Great fone to have (XE) but I think i will be gettign rid in the next few days for a Galaxy S2. My iFone 3GS was never this bad and I moved from iOS to android as there was no iFone 5 last year!

At first I thought I'd be troubled by 1GB only memory, but in truth I have downloaded (and installed) approximately 70 apps, all installed on ROM (none on SD card) and there's still space for plenty more apps (450Mb left). If I ever require more space, I can simply shift apps to SD card, which came free with the mobile when I bought it from Amazon.de. It came with a 16GB card, in my case at least. RAM Wise, I regularly have between 150 - 100 Mb free and anyway I don't see performance issues.

Still, if you want to buy a phone to be bragging with its tech rather than using it, than go for SGS2 as it definitely is more brag-worthy, tech-speaking.

                          GSM Arena:

I would like to correct you on some few things. On Clove UK website, they do have the white iBeats headsets for Sensation XE as well. Further, if one spends £75.00 or more, you buy the iBeats headsets at £44.00.

Tahir, 09 Feb 2012I wonder why not HTC is trying to compete with Samsung!!! I... moreI'm a proud owner of an HTC Sensation XE and I can assure that

                            1) The screen is fantastic and iPhone material when it comes to crispness. The viewing angles aren't good- granted, but I typically use my phone by looking at it at a comfortable angle not at 178 degrees for instance.

                            2) the RAM is not 1GB, granted again, but I never had RAM issues with this mobile and I do some heavy work on it, running 3D games, switching between apps during the game whilst at the same time synching. Never skipped a beat.

                            3) the HTC Sense UI is unbeatable in my opinion. TouchWiz is something I never used and never was tempted to use - it just looks ugly. Sense on the other hand looks brilliant.

                            4) CPU and GPU issues you mentioned are for the tech-obsessed. Want the best tech, get SGS2, want to use the phone and play around with it, both will do.

                            5) Want to browse the net? I doubt anything can beat the Sensation XE when it comes to this field, not even iPhone with its browser. Use them both, try zooming in on text and see reflow work on XE and then talk to me again.

                            6) Beats plus the bundled headphones add value, so even at the same price and with the same tech inside, the XE would be worth more given the quality headsets you're given. The difference in sound might not be magical, but it certainly is worth more than typical headsets.

                            7) Finally, have you looked at the two phones next to each other? Granted - beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I'd personally pick the XE over the SGS2 any time on looks alone! The Samsung looks way too much like an iPhone and is made of plastic whilst the Sensation feels much more robust and in fact it is.

If you haven't decided yet, I suggest going with the XE, you won't regret it if you understand my point of view and realise that you share it.

I... moreI agree that the S2 is a better all round phone but you can't outright say that it has a better screen ... it has better contrast but for reading text from an internet page the Sensation has a higher resolution and will display clearer text.
That may be a priority for some people.
The 217ppi on the S2 is pretty poor.

I wonder why not HTC is trying to compete with Samsung!!! I am a great fan of HTC and was about to buy Sensation XE, but when compared to Samsung Galaxy S2, price group is same but so much literally so much difference in hardware.. Galaxy S2 is way ahead of sensation XE :( It has better Display(but no blame on HTC as Samsung has stopped supplying HTC AMOLEDs to curtail HTC Market value as Samsung is also a major manufacturer of AMOLEDs), RAM an imp factor I wonder why HTC dint add enough of it!! also just 1GB internal Memory!!! comeon guys this is a high price group phone!!!! both have same processors though apparently HTC has fastest but it is using Qualcom chipset and 1.5 GHz snapdragon processor whereas Galaxy S2 is using 1.2 GHz Cortex A-9 whose architecture is advance from that of snapdragon and overall 1.5GHz of HTC is only 5% faster than Galaxy S2 when comes on execution of internal instructions so no difference in processing speed, GPU of Galaxy is twice that of HTC :( it is awful, only adding Sound Beats doesn't mean HTC is better, yes its feel and sense is matchless but professionals look at performance rather then looks, I just dropped my plan of buying HTC but waiting may be HTC tries to add value in hardware comparable to the demand price!!! I hope HTC will do better... waiting for gud....
