If you are currently under contract then this article is probably in no way relevant to you.
However, if you are like me and available for an upgrade this works out to the same price as buying the battery separate and saves a step.

When I can go to Amazon and get that same phone for $99 and just buy the $50 battery myself? Less than 1/2 the price.

Wow so you're going to pay $300 for a new battery that'd extend your contract instead of just going to Amazon and getting an extended battery with NO CONTRACT for $60? Man, Android has some really smart followers...

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-04-02 23:18 from ft0N - click to readThat is a replacement battery cover as the bigger battery will not fit in the original one. It is not a full case for the whole phone. Nowhere on that site is there a cover for the phone that fits it with the extended battery and replacement cover. See the link below for a normal case. Once you have seen that try and find one that will fit over the phone with the extended battery and its replacement cover. Until someone comes up with one I will not be purchasing any extended battery.

They're ripping you off man.
Also, what has roaming charges got to do with it? People in Germany don't go to different countries any more often than people in the US would... as a day to day activity.

I'm prety sure that standard battery for Verizont GNex is 1850mAh. 1750mAh is standard battery for GSM version.

Omg... This is really expensive! In Germany no one would pay that much in combination with a 2year contract for a somewhat dated phone

Or you could get the Lumia 900 or 800 and you won't have to worry about the battery life and you'll get a better device overall.
