I thought the 808 didn't have a 41 megapixel sensor, it just simulated 41 MP using software algorithms?
I remember the sample pictures taken from the N8 looked amazing before it came out, in the 2 years i've had it I have NEVER been able to take a pic anywhere good as them.

> In reply to D79_ @ 2012-04-26 21:56 from n5Pn - click to readYou are correct in saying so... but as the article points out the N8's camera IS impressive indeed. It really did give the DSLR a run for its money in a few areas, which is impressive for a cell phone camera.
Personally I love my N8 and could not imagine having a phone without a camera like it. I'll be sad when it comes to getting a new phone at contract renewal. Perhaps I'll just save up and wait for the PureView and buy one at retail. The N8 is truly special. Most haters simply have no idea how good it is since most have never even used it. I love it.

The 808 PureView is trully a SGS 3 killer. I know 5 people who are upgrading from a SGS 2 and they can't wait for the PureView. They're all sick and tired of Android and their SGS 2 and they said they fell for the hype.
The SGS 3 will be DOA because of the technological wonder, the 808 PureView.

> In reply to D79_ @ 2012-04-26 23:39 from n5Pn - click to readYou are so wrong!! In technology evolves more quickly than you think. Think of computer 20-30 years ago, they were the size of a room, now I have it in my poket(the Nokia N9). The same is happening with cameras! smaller size but biger sensors!!! There are much people like you who refuses to admit that tech evolves and a 808 PureView can take photos like a DSLR, but this is engineering tech, admit it or you will live in the past!

The photographer u know says he wont mind havin this phone in his pocket because it will always be in his pocket wen hes out so that means he can take nice shots at any time without havin to go get his dslr, but if he had his dlsr on him aswell then ill guarantee u he will use his dslr and also ill guarantee u that even in 10yrs from now photographers will still be usin dslr

> In reply to D79_ @ 2012-04-26 21:25 from n5Pn - click to readDSLR is dying, not because of this phone, but because they're an anachronism. Like, moving mirror parts in a _digital_ camera? You just need it because you look more "pro" with it. Anyway, I know a photographer too and he wouldn't mind having an 808 in his pocket. You should be thankful that Nokia had the guts to do it where everyone else is saying it's impossible.

Amazing, please read this and then judge for yourself if any mobile phone comes even close to 808 PureView! This device is from another league, the DSLR!
