Here's why current WP phones won't get Windows Phone 8

26 June, 2012
WP8 is closer to the desktop Windows 8 RT than it is to the Windows Mobile-related WP7.

Still I'm sure some folks on XDA will port WP8 to HTC HD2.

I would respect your like for a certain brand or OS...but you are now simply talking kak.

Alain, 26 Jun 2012They should have planned that from the start.. I'm really d... morehow microsoft works?
hmm, what current ios 5 features / apps work on iphone 1, 3g, 3gs??
what about android, and e. g. Sony Ericsson phones w/o updates?
what about mac os x vs. older, or apples transition from motorola(ppc) to intel?

In light of those examples, MS looks acting rather "continuous". You can even run Windows 95 apps on Win 7 or Win 8!

So, I'm not too negative about MS'developments regarding the future.
(for the record, I'm using iphone and macbook ;) )

We are happy to help and support Nokia through hardware sales, our way to say thank you and to thank Microsoft
                  for believing in Nokia.
With Elop knowing this is best long term we are behind him.
Say no to the lagging flops like the HTC One X and the Samsung S3.
Lumia Sales are crushing and with 7.8 smoked by windows is even faster.
Windows Phone 8 is here soon and any talk about NT viruses been easily transferred are jealous Android lies.

They should have planned that from the start.. I'm really disappointed... They're like creating a new windows every 2 years.. Next year they'l create windows phone 9 and they will say it's not compatible with 8 (that's how Microsoft works)
