Iphones sell because tne phone is good and the os is great plus they got the best ecosystem. The only reason keeping everyone else from buying it is the hefty price tag. Does anybody want to dispute me?

Why most people(ifans specially) says Android is laggy? It all depends upon manufacturer that how they use android to customize it in their own way. It also depends on app developer that how they use the coding for it.

Xperia V is better than this phone overall to be honest... But IPhone 5 sure is beating it when it comes to popularity which is really strange for me, apple really has the best people when it comes to marketing and the most loyal fans in any company.

That aside, its just sad that value for your money phones are underrated or overlooked for this IPhone 5...

AnonD-1862, 17 Sep 2012i really dont see why people are getting all hyped up over ... moreI see this is getting into an Apple vs Android theme so I will try to make this as general as possible and only answer on the most rated comment:
We the people get hyped over how much amount of money Apple's getting out of every iPhone is because it shows you how much did you pay for the Brand and not for the Product itself.
To put it more simply (because I know there are not many people out there who can afford this product) it's a Ferrari/Porsche vs Mercedes/BMW/Volvo/Ford/... thing.
              You pay the brand!
And this is what us commoners bother when we hear how much money Apple is making.

I have to say SG3 are definatley more powerful that the iPhone 5. However I dont really see what it does different. I can check my emails, Browse the web, use instant messaging, Download Music, Videos, books, magazines, pod casts, I dont want a phone that has a animated backgroud i like simplicity so ios suits me fine. I dont want the possibility of virus's on my phone. I like the look of the iPhone 5. But if i wanted to do everything i have listed and have animated backgrounds and customise menus then i could get a GS3. However with all the extra power the phone has... what is it used for? Why would i need it? What im getting at is its all down to preference. Android have a vast majority of manufacturers using their software... so 68% ( incorrect figure ) of smartphone market share is inevitable. 30 some odd percent of os in the smartphone market share is impressive. with one phone released every year and one manufacturer using it. So look at the figures and think about it that way and stop bashing each other... iPhone is still better though.lol

Here are hardware improvements of iPhone 5 :
                  http://www.theverge.com/2012/9/13/3326122/reality-check-30-hardware-improvements-with-iphone-5

                  Apps ?
iWork can make wonderful presentations and surely you can convert them to ppt or whatever (follow garr reynolds writings , you will get better knowledge) And there is iLife Bundle with iPhoto , iMovie and Garageband.

iOS is not bloated like android skins :) , it comes with basic things and remaining things are available in form of apps.

Office is not free , in which laptops it comes pre nstalled ? and it costs lot for an upgrade while iWork is one time purchase and all updates are free , If you are Mac user , you can integrate it very well.

If u still think iPhone 5 has nothing new , then you are obviously a troll.

Then you tell me just how popular your android is compared to iphone. truth is, vast majority of android users use entry-level to mid-range phones. I wonder if apple would release iphones for mid and low tier users, will android still be as popular as it is? But I guess that won't happen in the immediate future. By the way I'm currently using a Nokia N9.

People are just buying the name. The iPhone 5 apparently cannot match the HTC One S in performance benchmarks and that's not even HTC's top phone! I'm not sure why an iPhone 5 would be so popular in a world of Galaxy S3s, but then again most people do not seem to know much about phones, and Apple fans have never known anything different or better.

A whopping 68% if the world's smart phone market is dominated by Android, obviously you will see more android users commenting; generally speaking the average android user has many options and has to observe specs before buying so they end being more tech savvy that iPhone users...that's not rocket science or being a fan boy...It's simply stating the facts.

When i want a phone i create a mental list of features that i want then i go shopping. I have never returned with an iPhone because some of the features i want are missing. When Apple starts catering for advanced users who want the most for their buck i will buy one.

Until then it's for persons who didn't want to maximise the capabilities of a smart phone

truth is Apple changed the phone market and everyone else had to follow...they pretty much killed the keypad cellphones(mainly Nokia), and set course to the future...Android fans may not like it, but thats reality..
