Face ... moreI agree with you but I think their strong points are not the Amoled Screen(like you stated but still is great despite SGS3 greatness) but yes their huge battery life, build quality and great designs, at least different from competition (Motorola RAZR MAXX, RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HD). SONY is another one that could be great but doesn't take risks to be it...I like their Xperia line, believe me, specially the last ones (T and V) but still lacks something (and I'm not talking about the battery)is good but not great.

Imagine if the Razr M had a HD 720x1280 IPS display that could match the clarity and colors of iphone5, it would be the ultimate compact HD phone, not too small like the coming Galaxy S3, and not too big like the Galaxy S3. Check out Sony Xperia S and Xperia Acro S to see how good even a non-ips LCD at 4.3 inch HD screen is.
Nokia has already realized their mistake with Lumia 800 and 900 so they dropped amoled and now goes for IPS on their flagships. I believe even Samsung will offer alternatives for their next gen flagship, the S4 will have a NON-Pentile AMOLED and will also be offered in alternative version with IPS or Samsung PLS-LCD.

Seriously though.
iOS and WP both provide ease of use and simplicity
Android and symbian both provide power and flexibility
They are two very different target groups. I will find iOS and WP too stifling and I know many people who find android unnecessarily compliacated.
I was a long time symbian fan, and have had to move to Android.

Both were and still are great brands that live on past sucess...but in this fields no one is perfect! Samsung was a mess with no updates or only one for the GSII but look at them at the top sales and giving updates to almost all the galaxies...Nokia that gave up meego that could be much better for them that this windows phones...Apple start to fail with this iPhone 5 launch that doesn't bring nothing worth to brag about (but apple fans still brag)...tell me, wich brand is perfect? I hope SONY and MOTO come to life with this new devices and get on top quickly like they desrve ;)

Winmo 6.5 phones released 2 years ago were not updated to wp 7. I guess in your eyes, no updates is somehow better than some updates. I'm not sure what promises from Android you're referring to. Maybe you can provide a link from an ad showing their promise to update before a consumer makes a purchase. Please, show the world an example of a promise made by ANDROID to a consumer BEFORE they purchase a phone in order to influence a decision, as you allege.

Lost alot because lawsuits made by Apple and Microsoft, is not easy to survive in this jungle even for Motorola. Now things will look much better with google at Motorla's helm even that means Atrix and photon not getting the update!

[deleted post]At least they give their shot to update thier 2 year old phones to latest os's, and above all not "yelling to their customers that, that phone will receive an major update in successive months to lure a customer to buy their phones and after releasing a new one. They forget what they promised and said past months ago!....
-5 yrs motorola but after abandoning a beast phone like atrix and photon...... i will think 10000xwe to buy again they're products... - just what marketing strategy is!!!!!

But one thing is for sure they have one of best series in android, the atrix and specially the razr family and the daily interest doesn't take that away from them...you have to admit, they have great designs, quality built but maybe poor marketing and only for a few continents. Give Moto a break, with google's help within a few years they'll be on the top again ;)
