And poor nokia trusted Microsoft. What if they trusted Google and Linux and devoloped Android and Meego smartphones? They would've been world's top mobile and smartphone phone manufacturer. Sony trusted microsoft once, but they understood their mistake and now they have become world's 3rd largest smartphone manufacturer surpassing Htc, Lg, Motorola, Nokia etc. They lost the battle and then they fought it back. It's time for nokia to Switch to Android. If they don't do it now, they will never be back. They also did mistakes while making S40 asha device. If Asha devices had Symbian, then they would've helped nokia a bit. Nokia really have a very bad CEO.

Nokia, please allow dual booting of WP8 and Symbian in future lumia releases. Your fans are really missing faithful Symbian!

Nokia has a CEO that loves closed source OSes and therefore MeeGo and its variants are never coming back under that management.

Hey! That's great news! Maybe they are feeling that their union with nokia isn't being good. Will they ditch nokia now? This way Nokia can go back to what it was suppose to be and I can have the best hardware with the best software, which is android (or Meego variants). Oh. Wait! Nokia is dying thanks to the Microsoft trojan's inside Nokia.

That stupid Zune software only syncs music & videos. For me to open that office files from my office laptop, i have to modify my windows registry or upload it via skydrive. A basic file synching/opening needs to be that cumbersome? Office is one of the main reason why businesses is using their OS and if i want to open these office files in my Lumia 900, i need a stupid workaround? Now you talk!

And the reason why no FTP, architecture design of phone? WTF WINDOWS!!! That functionality has been around before your "advance" OS were introduced in the market and you can't release it by default on Windows 7.5?

                                        Successful business model:-

Google (SW) + Samsung or HTC or LG or others
                                        Apple (SW) + Apple HW
Microsoft (SW) + Samsung or HTC or Nokia or others

Symbian succeeded when there were no competition available (Samsung, sony released earlier phones with symbian)

Apple succeeds still because it is an OS maker for the PC - there it created a full ecosystem.
Google succeeds still because it is an OS maker (SW alone) and tries hard for its chrome OS.
Nokia calculates MS succeeds because it is also an OS maker and could make up the ecosystem.

So new business model SW (from a renowned OS maker) + powerful hardware. And you also are relieved of a separate SW unit at your development center, which enables to release phones in a leash (unlike apple which release 1 per 2 years or so).
