I don't know why a lot of people it's sayign it will lag ICS on 512MB of RAM, i run my Tablet perfectly at ICS and 512MB RAM, sure, at updating at simultaneous time (aprox. 6 apps) it lags, but come on, it's updating 6 things at time. The only noticable lag y could find it's while using updates in backgrounds, if you use one app in time or just press home to switch app, no problem.

@ droid king Don't know about the chineese but ppl like u give urself and android community a bad name.
So shamely trying to defend it that u urself don't know what ur talking about.
U say quad core is the min. requirement for androids when there r 10 times more phones running android on dual core or below than ur quad cores.
If phone makers (big or small) go by ur saying and make only "quad core with 2 gb ram" phones and not budget/midrangers which u say give a bad name or lag to android then android won't be anywhere close to where it is bcoz more than half of total android devices r budget or midrangers.
Another thing- u can make a 64 core phone with tb of ram but if the software isn't optimised n is buggy it will still lag.performance should the priority of any OS.customisation n animations r secondary n subjective.

Droid is king, 01 Dec 2012Only ret4rds are getting lag using underpowered phones or p... moreYou have to be new brand of insane. I have a samsung galaxy s3 with 1gb ram. All of a sudden its underpowered? It is running 4.1.1 jelly bean with project butter. It not only lags but randomly reboots! Android is bug after bug after bug. 4.2 killed wifi and december. I have to wait for 5.x for the lag fix but my phone might not get it. Iphone doesn't lag. Windows phone 7 doesn't lag. Haven't tried windows phone 8 yet but atleast I wont have to go through all that nonsense just to have a smooth out of the box experience. Who in their right mind wants to reinstall all their apps twice a week?

AnonD-54125, 30 Nov 2012Can you imagine the lag? Android is naturally buggy and eve... moreGoogle never claimed 4.1 was a lag fix anyway right?
So you can't judge your Galaxy3 only running that.

                                    Factory resets are simple.
You don't even need the phone rooted.
Jut case of re-entering your google account details.
Head to google play store, check my apps list, and redownload them. I do it twice a week and you notice the smoothness back straight away.
Simple stuff that's easy and fun to do for every user.

AnonD-54125, 30 Nov 2012Can you imagine the lag? Android is naturally buggy and eve... moreOnly ret4rds are getting lag using underpowered phones or poor phone skills.

                                      Miniumum hardware been quadcore like
                                      HOX+ or Note 2.
Custom ROM with root access, regular factory resets and a kernel with auto dalvik cache cleans.
4.3 custom is very good. And try and complain about lag then until 5.1 is out.
Rumour is 5.x will be the final fix anyway

Chinese give android a bad name with saving money on RAM and cpu power making it very laggy.

WP is the OS that is laggy now.
Just the animation and tiles hide it.
That's why WP8 needed dual cores
